The Ring Rod weights have a 80 # test-breaking strength stainless swivel on a brass-aluminum coupler. The brass-aluminum coupler has a stainless-steel rod attached to the Ring Rod and Ring Rod JRs. All the Ring Rods and Drop Shots have a stainless bead that rattles inside the couplers chamber. 

At NP Tackle, you will also find the Quick Connect that allows one to quickly change out weights without cutting and retying your knot. It's nice to stow your rod and reel away without having a weight on your line that could damage your rod.
